Woodware Challenge Funny Folds

The theme this week is Funny Folds and I have used a folding card that I have used for years but the Snow Globe Clear Magic Set by Francoise really lends itself to this design.

This is the closed card. The snow flakes are from a set by Jane called Dashing Reindeer and the ribbon is Lavender Gingham. The punched square was made from the Crafty Edger Star Party corner cassette, from a 4″ square piece of card.

The inside of the card is 5 squares of paper folded like this

The square was made by folding over the short sode of A4 on to the diagonal and then cutting off the excess so that you have a square when the paper is unfolded. Fold the square of paper in half and open out and then fold in half in the other direction. Make 5 pieces like this and then attach them together so that they have valley folds facing you and then hill folds facing you. Overlapping a complete square to create the card shape.

I than stamped the snow globe in the centre square all of the way down the card insert. I thenn went back down and stamped a different element from the set into the globe.

The words come from Traditional Christmas Greetings by Francoise. I stamped with Stazon and then used the Pearl Purple Brilliance to colour the edges of the paper. I used the star punched piece as a stencil and coloured through it, and used a square of card as a mask to keep the stamped images clear of ink.

Thank you for visiting you will find more Funny Folds on the Woodware Blog from the rest of the team as the week goes on.
