The Woodware Challenge theme this week was chosen by Janet from Japonica in Exmouth the theme is from the song title, and to me it was calling out to be a scrapbook page.
These pictures were taken at our local beach, it is a wonderful place, when the sun shines and even when it doesn’t shine!
First I used the Blue Breeze Kaledacolor pad and the Crackle Background Rollagraph.
I used the Stamping Guide to get the lines to match up on both sheets of white 12 x 12 card.
I then used Picasso to add some clouds to the background card. I put some tape over the holes so that I didn’t have to be neat.
I used the Sandcastle stencil run it through my Big Shot and then coloured it using the Strie technique.
Big Shot Sandwich (or any other embossing machine)
Works really well with Dreamweaver stencils, but remember your sandwich.
thick plate
stencil
card
Dreamweaver rubber mat
then 2 plates, make sure that you use flat not curved plates, I keep a brand new pair for stencils.
Strie is a really quick way to colour san embossed image. Use a large stencil brush and load it with ink from an ink pad. Starting off the paper run the stencil brush over the embossed image. starting at the top left and running all the way from top to bottom, and then turn the card and repeat on each side. This gives a sort of linen look.
It is a very quick pair of pages.
I think that I like this scrap booking craft!
I printed the words on the computer.
Thank you for visiting today remember to keep an eye on what the rest of the team have come up with. Woodware Blog and of course take a look at Japonica Jan
