Quick Christmas Cards…time is running out!

Here I have a very quick card thanks to the great stamp from the Francoise Collection

5

The Francoise Collection Clear Magic  stamp is Christmas Collage

1

First it was stamped in black on the Woodware Water Colour Card, I printed the ink pad on to my Hot Stuff Mat and picked up the colour with my water brush. The ink is ColorBox Crafter’s in Blueberry and Aruba.

2

I ripped the paper, the edges were water coloured too.

3

The greeting comes from the Stampendous Perfectly Clear set ‘Tis the Season a great set of Christmas words.

I used the Woodware paper scruffer around the edges of the stamped image and then rubbed it along the Blueberry Pad. I bled the ink out with my water brush.

4

I taped the organza ribbon on the back of the card, and tied it off at the end. I have used the Water Colour card to mount on to

definitely a very quick card, I hope that you like it!

Extra Christmas Card from the Leftovers

Sometime these are my favourite cards, when you have bits lying about because you have not tidied up before starting again, or is that just me?

27

When I was doing the post for Mens Christmas cards I had the Graffiti Christmas printed and just lying there. When I cut my Dreamweaver Nested Stockings for my Sketch post I had some extra stockings cut!

24

I just added a row of brads to hang my stockings and I rather like this card too.

23

I have added holly leaves to this one the leaves come from a very very old stamp set from the Franocise Collection Wired For Christmas.

26

This I think is my favourite with the none traditional feel of the colour it is fun and I do live those mini light bulbs from Woodware.

22

This on is just a funny shape, and I had not used my Tag Top Punch for a least a week!

21

Hope you like my cards with extra bits today!

Woodware – Sketch 56 – take 2

I am back with another take on this weeks sketch

10

Meet the Large Snowman Bauble from the Francoise Collection.

11

I have just stamped him in black and cut him at a slightly jaunty angle. He has been layer on some of the Amethyst Recycled Card.

13

I stamped twice more and cut out the scarf,  the carrot nose and the hat. I have coloured with Sakura Koi Brush Pens.

15

I punched out the snowflakes and covered them with Stickles, and I then used Stickles as the glue, the fine nib makes it easy to apply and if it squeezes out from underneath it is pretty!

12

I punched the green tag and the mini heart and star, I coloured the card before punching so that it was the same colour as the rest of the card.

14

I punched the Contemporary Tartan tags and attached them so they look as if they are swinging.

56

a reminder of the sketch.

Woodware – Sketch 56

This week on Woodware Witterings we have a sketch to follow

56

I am never sure about the sketches when I come to do them, but since it was my idea I really should have a plan!

But I think that it has come together quite well

8

I have used Dreamweaver and Stampendous Stencils for the card, and a very cute Dreamweaver die.

1

This is one of the July 2016 release from Stampendous Holly Scroll I ran it through my Sizzix Big Shot and the added some Jungle Crafter’s around the edges.

2

I was not sure about the ink so I got the stencil back out and inked with the Watermark Pad and my Jumbo Dauber then added the Kiwi Metallic f/x,

6

I hope that you can see the shine here, the Metallic f/x are so rich in pigment.

7

I have used regular embossing paste on the small Happy Christmas stencil. When the paste was dry I used the watermark pad and inked through the stencil, on top of the words and around the edge of the card I have used the Vintage Olive embossing powder. I have punched the corners with the inverted corner punch.

3

I used the smallest size of the Dreamweaver Nested Stocking Die. The tops have been cut in linen card and the rest in tartan paper from the 8 x 8 pad.

4

I have used some diamond Stickles on the top of the stockings for s bit of Christmas sparkle.

9

The Woodware mini bells are a great finishing touch for lots of Christmas projects.

Thanks for visiting see you soon!

Woodware – Christmas Greetings for the Men in our Lives – Take 2

I am back again with another Christmas card that would be suitable for a man,

18

I have used Graffiti Christmas a Clear Magic stamp from the Francoise Collection.

10

I have stamped on the Woodware Hairy Manila card.

11

I coloured with Sakura Brush pens I have used the Burgundy and the Sap Green.

12

I used my Sakura Gelly Roll in Clear Star to add a touch of sparkle

16

I used the same colours of pens to make a wishy washy background on my card. I sprayed water on the card and scribbled my pens on my hot stuff mat and then picked the colour up with a wet paint brush.

13

I have used my trusty Woodware scruffer around the edges.

17

The paper comes from the 8 x 8 Tartan Pad.

19

Don’t forget to check out what the rest of the team have been up to this week on Woodware Witterings thanks for visiting see you soon!

Woodware – Christmas Greetings for the Men in our Lives

On Woodware Witterings this week we are looking at cards that would be suitable for men so I have got out the Stampendous Truck Tidings set

9

The set includes four stamps and three matching dies. The Stampendous dies cut the image perfectly on the stamping line.

1

I love the way the truck has been drawn.

2

I have added some colour to the wheels and the lights with a Sakura silver PenTouch

4

For the background of the card I cut strips from the 6 X 6 Seasonal Prints pad and then used the Big Square punch to make the tales.

5

I just positioned them on the card.

3

The greeting is from the same set, it has been die cut with the Stampendous Build a Wreath die set.

3a

I inked the edges with Jungle Crafter’s Ink.

6

and loaded it into the truck!

8

Then I added some snow for my truck to drive through. I used the Emboss Gloss from ClearSnap to draw a rough line along the ground. The added a layer of Stampendous Chunky White embossing powder, and heated from underneath, while it was still warm I added some powder from the Spoonful of Snow kit, this kit has a good mix of powders and glitters. Again heat from underneath.

7

Here is a short video from Fran of Stampendous introducing the Truck Tidings set.

Thanks for visiting and don’t forget to check out what the rest of the girls are up to this week on Woodware Witterings

Woodware – From Our House to Yours at Christmas – take 2

Here I am again with another card for traveling across the miles.

f

For this card I have used the Stampendous Folk Tree metal stencil and the double glitter technique. I seem to be rather fond of this technique at the moment you will find step by step photographs in this post Things that go Bump here is the Dreamweaver video again too

a

The double sided sticky sheet has been attached to some red card and then glittered with the Christmas Micro Glitter kit.

d

The word stamp is one of Jane Gill’s a Clear Magic set that has lots of long greetings Christmas Sentiments. I have stamped and embossed with Ruby Red powder. Stampendosu have a great range of coloured embossing powders why not give some colours a try? I have stamped on Mixed Media card and then edged the card with Fire Red Crafter’s I have layered it on Spring Green Recycled card, edged with Jungle Crafters. The corners were punched with the regular corner rounder.

e

I tied some red 15mm organza around the card.

g

I added a tiny border with paper from one of the 6 x 6 Perfect Print pads.

b

The layers have all been taped flat.

c

I like the way that the greeting goes over the ribbon, pretty and practical, it’s holding the ribbon in place!

Tahnks for visiting don’t forget to check the Woodware Witterings blog to see what the rest of the team have been up to

Woodware – From Our House to Yours at Christmas

This week on Woodware Witterings we are looking at cards that you would send off to far flung places or to families from families.

7

I made this card a very long time ago on a very sunny summer afternoon, can you see the shadow?

5

So first stamp out this fun pair of Skating Snowmen and colour in some bits, I have coloured more than I needed…

3

Because I have stamped this snowman a second time and the hat and scarf for his dancing partner.

4

I have mounted on the Amethyst Recycled Card. I have punched the corners of the coloured card with the regular corner rounder, the white card has been punched with the very useful inverted corner punch. The background tartan is from the Contemporary Tartan  8 x 8 Pad

The greeting comes from a new Clear Magic set by Jane Christmas Cheer a must have set of words with lovely Christmas wishes that will work equally well inside or outside a card. I have used my Tag Top Punch (how did I live without it?) I love that I can do the two sizes (or more) and they fit so well together. I have added a snowflake brad

2

I smudged some Stickles on my punched snowflakes to finish off the card.

7

I am rather happy with the finished card, I hope that you like it too!

Don’t forget to check out what the rest of the team are up too over on Woodware Witterings, see you soon!

Woodware and Crafty Cardmakers – Things That Go Bump in the Night

We are again sponsoring Crafty Cardmakers this week the theme is Things That Go Bump in The Night the theme runs for two weeks on there blog.

CraftyCardMakers2016Header

Don’t forget to check out the Crafty Cardmakers blog and play along with us all, we have a prize!

I am back again today with another card for the Crafty Cardmakers Challenge

k

I hope that you can see that I have used acetate for the front of the card?

j

here it is closed.

a

On the acetate I have used the Clear Scraps Acrylic Mixer Spiders Web. The mixers can be used as stencils or as embellishments, so far I have just used the web as a stencil, but I will use it as an embellishment when the mood takes me. Then I will probably decorate it with Color Solutions Alcohol Inks.

b

I taped the spiders web on to my acetate and then added Dreamweaver Regular paste

c

While the paste was wet I added Crystal glitter to it.

d

Then I stamped Jane’s Three Houses Clear Magic stamps, I have stamped with a Watermark pad and embossed with Detail Black powder. I have stamped on some Amethyst Recycled card and some orange vellum from the Woodware Primary pack.

e

I have cut my A4 card in half long ways and then folded it in half and cut off most of the front of the card. I used A4 double sided sticky sheet all over the back of the houses and stuck them down on the card. In the background I have added some stars with a quickie glue pen and some Lavender Glitter.

f

I have cut the houses with a border of colour around them so that they would stand out.

g

I have attached the acetate with double sided tape

h

Then disguised it with ribbon, I like the  grosgrain because itis dotty on one side, it is double the value!

j

so there we have it a spooky card. I am off to a house warming this weekend, wish it was next weekend then this card would do!

I hope that you are enjoying our Things that go Bump in the Night week and why not play along at Crafty Cardmakers. Thanks for visiting see you soon!

Woodware and Crafty Cardmakers – Things That Go Bump in the Night

Woodware are again sponsoring Crafty Cardmakers this week the theme is Things That Go Bump in The Night the theme runs for two weeks on there blog.

CraftyCardMakers2016Header

Don’t forget to check out the Crafty Cardmakers blog and play along with us all, we have a prize!

Well I hope that this card is okay for the theme, I do rather like it.

9

Of course it is covered in glitter so has not photographed too well!

First the background

6

I have used the Woodware A4 Double Sided Sheets I cut it to roughly the size of the stencil.

7

Place the stencil over the top, I have used the Dreamweaver Tree Silhouette Stencil. First it is important rub your stencil with something that will stop it from be permanently attached to the double sided sticky sheet. You can used vegetable soap, your anti static bag or a watermark pad, I have used soap on this one and not been as neat as I should have been, Lynell would not approve!

8

Add dark glitter.

12

Normally it is important to use glitters that give you a good contrast of colours so that they both stand out, but I have used a bronze colour for my trees from the Woodware Glitter sets.

11

You may have noticed that on the card I have a moon, I forgot to take photographs of the first one, and then forgot to add the mask for the moon on the second one. To make the mask punch a circle from the release sheet that protects the doublesided sticky sheets and put this on before the stencil.

10

The card looks quite smart without the finishing touches.

Here is Lynell showing you how to do it properly…

Now for the ghosts

1

punch two ovals

2

trim a wiggly line

3

add faces, and trim up the sides to add a little waist line.

5

I have used card to make a wobbler.

13

I used Glossy Accents to attach the wobblers to the glitter.

I hope that you enjoy our Things that go Bump in the Night week and why not play along at Crafty Cardmakers
