Woodware – Zentangle with Stencils

More stenciled Zentangle today

15

Today I have used the open butterfly stencil and black card Sakura white gelly roll pen.

6

For this card I used my Yoga for the Brain cards.

8a

I have used the same pattern but done them differently. Don’t forget to turn your work.

9

on this side I have just made the one flower spread.

8

on the second side I have repeated the flower.

11

My loops are not neat, but it is the finished look that you are going for.

12

I have used a different pattern at the bottom of the butterfly.

14

another tangle from Yoga for the brain.

13

I then added some sparkle with Sakura Stardust pens

16

The just for you comes from the Francoise Collection Doodle Flower Basket

Woodware Trio of Tags

This week on the Woodware Blog we are looking at tags, i have cheated and made three giant tags that are the same, I will have to buy very large presents to go with them now!

DD3

The tags I have made from our plain Bunting it is plain white card.

DD2

First I stamped the Snowfakes from the Stampendous delicate Snowflake in blue then embossed Jane’s Funny Snowman in silver.

DD5

I made a small tag for the top by drawing around the top of the tag and cutting around.

DD1

Then I added a touch of colour with the Sakura Glaze pens.

DD4

The tag at the top has been stamped with Jane’s lame joke..

I have added ribbons and a brad so that the top will swivel so that you can write a message underneath.

Don’t forget to check out the rest of the girls posts on the Woodware Blog this week.

Woodware Sketch 45

On the Woodware blog this week we have a sketch to follow

45-August_2015

I have played about with the shape and done an 8 x 8 card

Dorrie

The stamp is Francoise’s Clear Magic Christmas Trees

Dorrie1

I have just stamped in black with the ColorBox Wicked Black twice.

Dorrie2

I then cut around the trees roughly on one of the stamped trees.

Dorrie3

For the base card I used the Dylusions Post Box Red Paint to colour the top half of the card

Dorrie4

I cut a small panel and edged it with the Dylusions paint.

Dorrie5

I coloured one of the trees with the Dylusions Cut Grass Paint and then added tiny crystals from the Clear alphabet set.

Dorrie6

The Merry Christmas comes from the Aspects of Design Clear Magic Celtic Circle and Holly set.

I decoupaged a coloured tree on to the main image, and raised the greeeting panel too.

Woodware – Mechanical Cards

The Woodware team this week is mechanical cards, the girls are all interpreting this in there own way here is mine…

11

I have made a card that folds so they way that you fold a box when you have no tape…

10

I have done this one in 2 colours to show you how the card goes. I made this as a birthday card a couple of years ago, but of course I didn’t take a photograph.

2

For this one I have used a sheet of 12 x 12 card in white and cut it in half, then I scored 3 inches in from each end.

1

I have used the Dreamweaver Holly Swirls stencil, I put it on wonky as it is not big enough to cover the whole card, then I put it on the other way to cover the whole panel.

3

I inked with the ColorBox  Gypsy pad ant then highlighted the berries with a red Sakura Glaze pen

5

I have used a red sheet from the Glamour Textura 6 x 6 card pad, the stamps are from the Woodware Aspects of Design range the Celtic Tree, the words come from the Celtic Circle and Holly.

7

The holly comes from the same set as the greeting, I cut two squares 2 and3/4 inches for the holly.

6

and 2 and 1/2 for the text squares.

9

I have added Glossy Accents to the Holly

Then tick your corners in to fold it up. I like this card quite simple really, but I think that it is quite fun!

The Mirror Crack’d – Masks

Woodware are again sponsoring The Mirror Crack’d Blog

MirrorCrackd

Their theme for this month is Make a Mask either a bought one or from scratch.

So here is what I have come up with.

3

You will find the same mask decorated Lin on the Design Team for the Mirror Crac’d, I decorated this without knowing what Lin had done honest!

1

I went to a craft shop and bought a paper mache mask.

2

I painted it with some old acrylic paint, just to lighten it.

4

The I went mad and painted it with three colours of Dylusions paint. Sorry I forgot to take pictures of it in progress (my daughter kept coming to speak to me).

I used the ColorBox Blending Tool to apply the paint.

5

Then I Frantaged like mad with three different mixes that I had made up, I have no idea what was in them! Ah the beauty of Frantage!!! I used my Boss Gloss Embossing ink on the mask to get the powders to stick where I wanted it, I heated from underneath to start with and finished off on top.

6

Then I added bling, the Multi Coloured Triple Wave border, was perfect for this project.  7

The pearls come from one of the combo cluster sets. I love the knotted ribbon and I just teamed it with 15mm organza and 3mm satin, to add some movement.

I hope that you like my fun mask.

So why not play along with the girls at The Mirror Crack’d you have all month to put your thinking cap on!

Woodware New Home – take 2

Me again with another New Home project I have used the same stamp set Jane’s Three Houses, but I do love it!

e

I hope that you think I have given it a completely different look.

b

I started with a piece of clean slate (sorry). I have not used slate in a project for years!

c

First I painted it with Dylusions Paint in Lemon Zest, I used two coats to get good coverage.

d

Then I stamped the house from the set on some tissue paper and added a touch of colour with Sakura Colouring Pencils, and glued it on to the slate with Crafty Glue, put the glue under and over the image to make sure it is well stuck down.

a

I added some words from the set too.

f

Then the fun begins. i have added Color Fragments

g

Shaved Ice and Bronze Mica Fragments. I have wrapped wire around for decoration and for hanging.

I have used Glossy Accents to attach the Fragments and the wire at the back, it works well on the slate.

Thanks for visiting, see you soon

Woodware New Home

The theme on the Woodware blog this week is new home here is a simple card with one of Jane’s new house stamps

1

The Clear Magic stamp is called Three Houses, I asked Jane to draw some houses, and I am really pleased with them.

6

I have used a Dutch Doobadoo Mask Art Bricks, I have sprayed through it with the ClearSnap Dye Ink Spray in Artichoke and Grape. I have made another 2 backgrounds with the ink that was left on the mask.

2

The mask is a great size and has given me a nice border around the card.

3

I have used two of the new embossing powders from Stampendous. The Rose Gold is slightly darker on the middle house, I hope that you can see it in the photograph, I have darkened it by using a dark ink under the powder. The blue house is the new Ice Blue powder. These are both lovely new powders. You can see the four new powders here.

4

I have used water colour pencils to colour my houses.

5

the words come from an old set designed by Francoise Heart and Home. I have finished off with a button and some burlap ribbon which I have cut down.

Thanks for visiting and don’t forget to visit the Woodware blog to see what the rest of the girls have been up to this week

Friendship

This week the Woodware theme is friendship and I am very excited to be sharing one of the brand new stamps designed by Jane Gill.

6

This stamp is called Curly Sue JGS411 and is one of the latest of Jane’s Bubble Bloom collection.

5

for the background I have used the Dreamweaver Daisy Background stencil. I have coloured it with the Balloons 6 colour pigment pad from ColorBox, and a stencil brush.

1

The image has been stamped with the Bark Crafters Ink then the leaves coloured with Tombow Dual Brush pens.

3

I then coloured some Card Candi with three orange pens and then topped them with Crackle Accents, this was taken before the glass had dried.

2

I really like how they look once they were dry.

4

They fit so well into the bubbles of Jane’s stamps.

I hope that you like the look of this new stamp from Jane, they are on sale this week so look out for them!

Woodware – House-Mouse® Week

This week on the Woodware Blog we are looking at the cute and cuddly House-Mouse®

Front

This little fella is Fall Float. I have coloured the leaves green, since it is supposed to be summer at the moment.

2

on the front I have stamped just the leaf part of the stamp.

4

I did the colouring with Tombow Dual Brush Pens.

1

I stamped more on another sheet of the Woodware Mixed Media card.

3

For the inside I have used the Stampendous Build a Pop Up Die. The border comes from the same die set.

5

The cut out leaves have been added to the tabs at the top.

6

I really love the pop up die it is my favourite thing at the moment! Stampendous have an ever growing range of stamps that have been designed to work perfectly with it, but it works so well with lots of other stamps too.

Thanks for visiting, and don’t forget to check out the Woodware Blog for lots more House-Mouse® fun.

Woodware Sketch 43

This week on the Woodware blog we have a sketch to follow.

43-June_2015

I have turned the sketch on it’s side

1

I have used the very cute House-Mouse stamp Trimming the Tree for the main image.

6

First I stamped it on a folded piece of A4 card, the drew around it with a diner plate.

4

and cut out the oval

5

Then I stamped the image in roughly the same place on a piece of the new Woodware Mixed Media card, the card is great for water colouring

7

I coloured it with Tombow pens and a water brush.

2

I used the Crafty Edger and the Star Party cassette.

3

On the outside I used the Merry Christmas from Francoise’s Funky Christmas Clear Magic set. The holly leaves are from the Cling Rubber Jumbo set Holly Stocking. I have inked it with the same green Tombow pen that I coloured the tree.
