Woodware and Crafty Cardmakers – Things That Go Bump in the Night

We are again sponsoring Crafty Cardmakers this week the theme is Things That Go Bump in The Night the theme runs for two weeks on there blog.

Don’t forget to check out the Crafty Cardmakers blog and play along with us all, we have a prize!

I am back again today with another card for the Crafty Cardmakers Challenge

I hope that you can see that I have used acetate for the front of the card?

here it is closed.

On the acetate I have used the Clear Scraps Acrylic Mixer Spiders Web. The mixers can be used as stencils or as embellishments, so far I have just used the web as a stencil, but I will use it as an embellishment when the mood takes me. Then I will probably decorate it with Color Solutions Alcohol Inks.

I taped the spiders web on to my acetate and then added Dreamweaver Regular paste

While the paste was wet I added Crystal glitter to it.

Then I stamped Jane’s Three Houses Clear Magic stamps, I have stamped with a Watermark pad and embossed with Detail Black powder. I have stamped on some Amethyst Recycled card and some orange vellum from the Woodware Primary pack.

I have cut my A4 card in half long ways and then folded it in half and cut off most of the front of the card. I used A4 double sided sticky sheet all over the back of the houses and stuck them down on the card. In the background I have added some stars with a quickie glue pen and some Lavender Glitter.

I have cut the houses with a border of colour around them so that they would stand out.

I have attached the acetate with double sided tape

Then disguised it with ribbon, I like the  grosgrain because itis dotty on one side, it is double the value!

so there we have it a spooky card. I am off to a house warming this weekend, wish it was next weekend then this card would do!

I hope that you are enjoying our Things that go Bump in the Night week and why not play along at Crafty Cardmakers. Thanks for visiting see you soon!

Woodware – Boys Will Be Boys

This week on the Woodware Blog we are looking at cards for men,

This is one of Francoise’s Clear Magic stamps it is called Boys Toys

First I stamped and embossed with Bark Powder I have used the Bark Crafters ink pad becouae the powder is not opaque. I have used a large stencil brush and added colour from a  6 colour pigment ink pad.

The Woodware Just Words stamps have a brilliant selection of must have words these one are from a set that is perfect for the senior members of the family both male and female Great Grand, works well with other greeting stamps to truly personalize your cards.

I have scuffed the edges and added a touch of Rust Spoonful Frantage Kit then the tool brads

I have given the main card the Rust treatment too.

So well this week I have done a Kim and have a second card!

I am not sure which one I like best.

I have used Mixed Media card for both card and layers. The strip on the card has been made by running the Clear Scraps Gears Border through my Big Shot.

this time I have embossed the stamp in gold

coloured and layered on kraft card I like the Rope on a Bobbin it gives a nice masculine touch.

The words come from a set of Francoise’s called You Are the set has three unusual phrases. My favourite is “being unique is better than being perfect”

One Colour Wonder

The theme this week on the Woodware blog should be one colour, unfortunately the Woodware Blog is a bit poorly:(

I have gone for blue as my colour this week

I have been inspired by the workshops that we did with our retailers last weekend and the weekend before. We had Susan, Jim and Amber from Clear Scraps with us and Susan certainly inspired me and I hope our retailers.

First I have cut my card 6 x 8 inches, and placed the Clear Scraps Nordic Snowflake on the inside of the card.

I have mixed the Dylusions paints White Linen and London Blue to give me a paler blue.

I used a piece of Cut n Dry foam to pick up and apply the paint. I added a strip of paper down the inside, when the paint was dry.

I have cut a sheet of Clear Scraps 12 x 12 Acrylic to 6 x 6 and removed the folm from one side. I have used the Cut n Dry and Dylusions paint to ink the Clear Magic Bubble Bloom Festive Tree designed by Jane Gill. Stamp carefully on the acrylic.

I then added some Venetian Card Candi using Silicone Glue to stick it down.

I have added Stickles in shades of bllue to the other bubbles.

The greeting is from the same stamps set as the tree. I have stamped and embossed it with Winter Wonderland embossing powder, which is white with silver sparkle.

I have photographed the finished card with some card under the acrylic (I always forget how difficult it is to photograph)

Remove the film from the back of the acrylic panel before sticking it inside the card. It stand beautifully and looks great!
