CraftyCardMakers2016Header

Don’t forget to check out the Crafty Cardmakers blog and play along with us all, we have a prize!

Well I hope that this card is okay for the theme, I do rather like it.

9

Of course it is covered in glitter so has not photographed too well!

First the background

6

I have used the Woodware A4 Double Sided Sheets I cut it to roughly the size of the stencil.

7

Place the stencil over the top, I have used the Dreamweaver Tree Silhouette Stencil. First it is important rub your stencil with something that will stop it from be permanently attached to the double sided sticky sheet. You can used vegetable soap, your anti static bag or a watermark pad, I have used soap on this one and not been as neat as I should have been, Lynell would not approve!

8

Add dark glitter.

12

Normally it is important to use glitters that give you a good contrast of colours so that they both stand out, but I have used a bronze colour for my trees from the Woodware Glitter sets.

11

You may have noticed that on the card I have a moon, I forgot to take photographs of the first one, and then forgot to add the mask for the moon on the second one. To make the mask punch a circle from the release sheet that protects the doublesided sticky sheets and put this on before the stencil.

10

The card looks quite smart without the finishing touches.

Here is Lynell showing you how to do it properly…

Now for the ghosts

1

punch two ovals

2

trim a wiggly line

3

add faces, and trim up the sides to add a little waist line.

5

I have used card to make a wobbler.

13

I used Glossy Accents to attach the wobblers to the glitter.

I hope that you enjoy our Things that go Bump in the Night week and why not play along at Crafty Cardmakers

Thanks for visiting see you soon!

CraftyCardMakers2016Header

Don’t forget to check out the Crafty Cardmakers blog and play along with us all, we have prize!

So here is my second visit to the sea this week…

j

I have used the Dreamweaver Sandcastle Stencil and sludge paste.

q

here is my jar of sludge paste, just a mix of all of the odd bits of paste that I had added to a jar.

b

It is a great stencil to paste. I pasted quite a few.

o

To this one I added Stampendous Ice Blue Metallic embossing powder to the wet paste

n

and heated it after the paste was dry.

p

one of them I covered completely with powder.

I had fun playing with these and I have a friend who is planning to buy a house near the sea so I will make the extras into cards for her.

d

I have used the Woodware Post Card Stamp for the background, and again used the Ice Blue powder

m

the background layer I have used my Simple Dots Rollagraph first, then on top I stamped the Stampendous Carte Poste Cling Rubber stamp. I have used the Clearsnap Raisin Pigment ink.

c

I have used the Woodware Scruffer to edge the layers and then inked with the Raisin.

k

I finished the card off with some Light Blue Mosaics they are a perfect match for the embossing powder.

I hope that you have enjoyed Woodware’s By or Under the Sea week and why not play along at Crafty Cardmakers.

Thanks for visiting see you soon!

Woodware – Zentangle with Stencils

On the Woodware blog this week we are looking at Zentangle with Dreamweaver Stencils

5

I have used the Dreamweaver Small Oval Open Bauble.

1

I have used a half sheet of magnet under my card to hold the stencil in place and drawn around the bauble.

2

Then move the stencil along and draw another bauble, of course you miss the showing area of the first bauble.

I have used a Sakura Micron pen to draw around the stencil.

3

I have used one of my favourite Zentangle books Zenspiration Dangle Designs by Joanna Fink to help me create the patterns.

4

I have simply wrapped some ribbon around a piece of black card and attached it to the card.

I am happy with the simple black and white card

5

Thanks for visiting, don’t forget to take a look at what the rest of the girls are up to on the Woodware blog.

Woodware are sponsoring The Mirror Crack’d this month so pop over to there blog for some inspiration and the join in on the Mirror Crack’d blog.

I am back again this week covering for Pam with another masterboard

c

Then I messed about added some stamping with the quilting stamps, and some metal stencil used to pattern the Magic stamp.

o

Then I chopped it up into pieces to make some houses.

n

I added buttons and some self adhesive tape measure ribbon.

m

Here you can see the Crackle Rollagraph background stamp.

l

This one has some burlap ribbon.

k

this one has self adhesive lace.

i

the words come from the Stampendous Perfectly Clear set Family Home.

h

this time cream burlap.

g

and this one just has lots thrown on!

d

For the background I used a 6 x 24 inch canvas, ripped some paper as a mask

e

and sprayed with 2 shades of green

f

then used an ink pad for the blue sky.

j

I rubbed a Woodware wipe over the canvas to blend it in, then I painted over the top with metallic f/x made into a water colour paint with gum arabic, to as some shimmer to the sky.

Woodware – Master Board – The Mirror Crack’d

Woodware are sponsoring The Mirror Crack’d this month so pop over to there blog for some inspiration and the join in on the Mirror Crack’d blog.

Master board seems a very grand name for cutting up what you make, but it is fun.

17

This is what I have done with mine. The box is the largest one of a set of three wooden boxes that are available from Woodware.

For my master board I started with a sheet of white 12 x 12 card.

3

and sprayed it with Banana Clearsnap Dye Ink Spray through the Mandala Art Screen.

4

Just roughly

5

Then I added some Strawberry and Spearmint sprays I also used the Swirldot Art Screen.

7

Then I moved back inside and added some stamping in Bark Crafters ink. This is the Stampendous Carte Postal.

8

I have also stamped the Calligraphy Sampler in red ink

10

Then I got out the Dreamweaver Embossing paste and made a very messy job of pasting (deliberately I might add)

11

I repeated this across the card.

12

I should have started in the middle, but it didn’t matter as I am cutting up the board anyway!

13

Then I used the Rust Spoonful kit to heat emboss the paste. I just added it roughly.

14

Then I used the circles from the Kaffee Klatsch set. I have embossed it with the Seasoning Embossing enamel.

15

Then I chopped up the card I have edged them with Bark ink. I didn’t measure the length I just measured the height of  the box and cut 7cm sqaures.

15b

The box has been painted with the Dylusions paints that we are still waiting to arrive.

15a

The paints go on really well.

18

I have only decorated the two long sides.

16

I attached the panels with Woodware Crafty Glue.

The burning question is do I decorate the other two boxes with the rest of the master board

20

Or do I do something completely different?

Thanks for visiting see you soon.

Woodware Challenge Chosen by Siobhan – Book Marks

This week the Woodware theme has been chosen by Siobhan, I don’t think bookmarks will ever go out of fashion, while I never read fiction in a proper book I do have lots of craft books which have lots of pages that have to be marked.

DD

I have made my book marks all the same, but they are going to be a gift to my owl loving niece.

DD1

I have stamped on Craft Canvas with my favourite ink ColorBox Crafters the colour range has been increased which is very exciting! I have used the Anne Butler Quilting stamps on the Craft Canvas, I lined up the canvas on my cutting mat to get the stamps positioned properly.

DD3

Then I sponged colour over the top.

DD2

Then I used the Dreamweaver Small Open Owl stencil with a stencil brush and the Crafters inks.

DD4

The words are from the Stampendous Perfectly Clear Set Know Your Heart Words.

DD5

I layered the words on the Course Weave Natural  fabric.

DD6

To add a fancy edge to the bottom of the book marks I cut the edge on my Woodware Trimmer.

Thanks for visiting see you soon.

Woodware Colour Challenge – Black and Silver

I hope that you enjoyed our blog hop last week, back to normal this week, it seems very quiet. This week we have a colour combination of black and silver.

7

Stencils have been very popular this week with the girls and I have gone for Dreamweaver Stencils too.

3

I used the new Pen Collection stencil and embossed them with mat black paste then covered the wet paste with silver embossing powder and heated it.

4

I tried one with Aged Silver powder, but I decided it was not right for this project, but they are still in my stash.

1

For the background I used the Paisley Background stencil.

2

I used the Aged Silver powder to edge the panel.

6

Layered on to some silver vellum and then onto a 6 x 6 black card.

7

The pens were cut out and attached with double sided tape.

Thanks for visiting see you soon.
