Woodware – Sketch 57 – Take 2

I am back again with another take on this weeks sketch over on Woodware Witterings

11

This is the Francoise Collection Clear Magic stamp Flowering Bike

12

I have simply stamped with Bark Crafters ink from ClearSnap I have stamped on A4 Cream Linen card

13

I stamped it again on some pre-cut plain cream card and some pink.

14

Then I put the layers together.

15

I used my Tombow Glue stick so that I can move the pieces around to get them perfectly lined up, well I hope that they are perfectly lined up!

16

I then coloured in with a mixture of Sakura Water colour pencils and my Stardust gel pens.

17

the colours are just slightly darker on the pink card, but you can still see them.

18

I used Sakura Micron pen to add the faux stitching.

11

not a bad take on the sketch even if I say so myself…

I stamped with the Bark Crafters pad on the ribbon and remembered to attach it around the pink panel before attaching it to the card!

Christmas Table Decorations

I think that this could be an interesting week of posts from the girls, I have chosen to start my place cards for my table on New Years Day. The Christmas table will feature red but on New Years Day it will be blue.

8

I have made small easel cards and since I don’t know yet how many I will be having for dinner that day I have made four, but I do expect that I will have to make at least another four cards.

I saw this on Pinterest somewhere used on the front of a card.

4

I used four sizes of circle punch

2

I have inked the edges of the circles with Sky Dye Ink

10

You may recognise this smiling face, I have used the same stamp as last week the Large Snowman Bauble Clear Magic stamp from the Francoise Collection. I used a black Koi pen to ink only the face of the stamp and then punched out with the yellow punch. I coloured the nose and then added Glossy Accents. Large foam mounting pads give him lots of height.

3

The card is A4 cut in half length ways, Then scored at the half and quarter points. The ovals I have cut with two of the dies from the Stampendous Build a Pop Up Die set.

This is a really quick and very effective decoration for a table.

11

another idea that I found on Pinterest is to build the snowman flat on a card. I have used the Dreamweaver Leafless Tree for arms.

Thanks for visitng see you soon, remember to check out Woodware Wittering to see what the rest of the team are up to this week.

Woodware – Sketch 56 – take 2

I am back with another take on this weeks sketch

10

Meet the Large Snowman Bauble from the Francoise Collection.

11

I have just stamped him in black and cut him at a slightly jaunty angle. He has been layer on some of the Amethyst Recycled Card.

13

I stamped twice more and cut out the scarf,  the carrot nose and the hat. I have coloured with Sakura Koi Brush Pens.

15

I punched out the snowflakes and covered them with Stickles, and I then used Stickles as the glue, the fine nib makes it easy to apply and if it squeezes out from underneath it is pretty!

12

I punched the green tag and the mini heart and star, I coloured the card before punching so that it was the same colour as the rest of the card.

14

I punched the Contemporary Tartan tags and attached them so they look as if they are swinging.

56

a reminder of the sketch.

Woodware – Christmas Greetings for the Men in our Lives – Take 2

I am back again with another Christmas card that would be suitable for a man,

18

I have used Graffiti Christmas a Clear Magic stamp from the Francoise Collection.

10

I have stamped on the Woodware Hairy Manila card.

11

I coloured with Sakura Brush pens I have used the Burgundy and the Sap Green.

12

I used my Sakura Gelly Roll in Clear Star to add a touch of sparkle

16

I used the same colours of pens to make a wishy washy background on my card. I sprayed water on the card and scribbled my pens on my hot stuff mat and then picked the colour up with a wet paint brush.

13

I have used my trusty Woodware scruffer around the edges.

17

The paper comes from the 8 x 8 Tartan Pad.

This week on Woodware Witterings we are looking at Pops of colour, I have used more that one colour, but only coloured a very small part of the image

8

I have used the lovely Flowering Bike Clear Magic stamp designed by Francoise, it is a very pretty image

1

first I stamped it twice, I have used Bark Crafters ink and stamped on the woodware Mixed Media card

2

Then I punched the flowers out with the blue Super circle punch this was the best size.

3

I coloured with Sakura Koi brush pens. Then I highlighted the basket with the Sakura Clear Star gellly roll pen. This pen is a must have for adding some fast sparkle.

4

I have used my edge scruffer on the panel, and then mounted it on some ribbed kraft card.

5

Then I added some brown gingham ribbon, I love the Woodware gingham ribbons.

6

Then I added some of the self adhesive lace in cream.

7

popped the hearts from the same stamp set down the side and then layered up my pops of colour.

I hope that you like my card, I do, it is so nice to make a card that you like the look of, it never gets old!

Woodware – Good Luck!

This week we are saying Good Luck on the Woodware Witterings

7

I have used the Postal Collage (FRS344) Clear Magic stamp from the Francoise Collection and the Happy Travels from the Just Words Collection.

1

First I stamped out the a black image

2

then I distressed it with Crafter’s Ink pads Canyon and Desert Sand.

3

I made a background with the same colours of Crafters and added some Bar, on the Woodware Mixed Media Card.

4

They look great on the Ribbed Recycled Card

6

For my Happy Travels stamp I punched some card from the Tag Top Punch the one with the straight shoulders the best thing about these punches is that you can make your tags in a variety of sizes and they can be double ended!

5

For the Good Luck I have used the Dreamweaver Dual Alphabet and cut it from the 8 x 8 Tartan Pads one sheet from each pad.

Thanks for visiting and don’t forget to pop over to Woodware Witterings to see what the rest of the girls have been up to.

Woodware – Colour Blocking

This week on Woodware Witterings we are looking at Colour Blocking simply using blocks of colour on your card.

1

I have sort of cheated and not used single colours but I thought that my 8 x 8 Contemporary Tartan Pad would be perfect for this.

8

The idea I got from a tutorial on Split Coast Stampers called star burst background if you follow the link you will find the tutorial. Cut strips of the card or paper that you want to use mine ranged between 1 and 2 inches. then cut them in half on the diagonal. The ends get trimmed and hidden so they do not have to be perfect. I have used black card to stick my tartan strips to, leave spaces between the strips, and then trim the card so that it doesn’t have a black border. I then layered it on white and black card. I have used the 12 x 12 Textura Card.

4

I wanted something pearly so I have used a card cut from the Stampendous Fitted Frames and embossed it all over with Stampendous Ice Blue Pearl Embossing Powder and then stamped the words

5

and embossed with Wild Plum powder. The stamp is one from the Francoise Collection You Are Clear Magic stamp.

9

I love the way that the front has turned out.

6

I have used my Brilliant Bowmaker with my black twine.

7

I have made to multi bows that are the same size, don’t think I could manage that with out this handy little tool.

3

The Happy Birthday is a Woodware Just Words stamp I have edges the layers with the same 2 embossing powders.

2

I have made it an easel card, I love this they look so effective with out very much work! and here is the inside.

Woodware – Raining Cats and Dogs

This week on Woodware Witterings we are looking at Cats and Dogs, I thought that it was a good reason to do a scrap book page with my dog.

6

This is Peggy, and the words sum her up perfectly

 8

yes I know she looks angelic but she certainly has her moments! I love the Dylusions stamps from Dyan Reaveley this one is from the Don’t Hold Back set, they are great for scrap-book pages and of course art journals which are Dyan’s speciality.

1

The other stamp set that I have used is Huge Dog the Clear Magic set from the Francoise Collection. I have stamped the dog on white card with black powder and twice in white powder on black card. Then I Zentangled the letters with the Sakura White Gelly Roll and a Black Sakura Micron pen on the white card.

2

I even used my craft knife to cut out the centres of the d and g

5

I then used foam pads to add depth to the page.

3

The dogs head and paws are from the same set.

4

I used a watermark pad and black powder on the black card to make the paws just visible.

7

I layered the pieces on some white card then started at the top and placed the two photographs and the dog layer down the 12 x 12 page.

Don’t forget to check out what the rest of the girls have been up to on Woodware Witterings, thanks for visiting see you soon!

Woodware – Happy Days

The theme this week on  Woodware Witterings is Happy Days, and really one of the happiest days on our lives is often our wedding day, once we are relaxed enough to enjoy our selves!

1

I have used The Bride and Groom designed by Francoise Read. It is a good sized stamp that will make a good big card. My card it 7 x 7 inches, but I have cut it from a sheet of Textura white 12 x 12 card.

4

I folded the front so that it is 5 inches and the back 7 inches.

2

I used my circle cutter to get a 5.75 inch circle. I have used Grape embossing powder around the edges, I love using embossing powder for the texture and the shine. The card is from the Glamour Textura Card Stock 6 x 6 pad

3

the bride and groom have been embossed in Grape too and highlighted with Stickles.

5

The words are from Jane’s Hedgerow Clear Magic stamp. I have used my Tag Top punch and then rounded the corners of my strips with the regular corner rounder.

7

The heart is one of the small metal ones and I have Frantaged it with powders from the Purple Encrusted Jewel Kit.

6

I added a bow at the other end with 15mm organza

8

and there we are a card for a very happy day!
