I think that this could be an interesting week of posts from the girls, I have chosen to start my place cards for my table on New Years Day. The Christmas table will feature red but on New Years Day it will be blue.
I have made small easel cards and since I don’t know yet how many I will be having for dinner that day I have made four, but I do expect that I will have to make at least another four cards.
I saw this on Pinterest somewhere used on the front of a card.
You may recognise this smiling face, I have used the same stamp as last week the Large Snowman Bauble Clear Magic stamp from the Francoise Collection. I used a black Koi pen to ink only the face of the stamp and then punched out with the yellow punch. I coloured the nose and then added Glossy Accents. Large foam mounting pads give him lots of height.
The card is A4 cut in half length ways, Then scored at the half and quarter points. The ovals I have cut with two of the dies from the Stampendous Build a Pop Up Die set.
This is a really quick and very effective decoration for a table.
another idea that I found on Pinterest is to build the snowman flat on a card. I have used the Dreamweaver Leafless Tree for arms.
Thanks for visitng see you soon, remember to check out Woodware Wittering to see what the rest of the team are up to this week.
For my Happy Travels stamp I punched some card from the Tag Top Punch the one with the straight shoulders the best thing about these punches is that you can make your tags in a variety of sizes and they can be double ended!
The idea I got from a tutorial on Split Coast Stampers called star burst background if you follow the link you will find the tutorial. Cut strips of the card or paper that you want to use mine ranged between 1 and 2 inches. then cut them in half on the diagonal. The ends get trimmed and hidden so they do not have to be perfect. I have used black card to stick my tartan strips to, leave spaces between the strips, and then trim the card so that it doesn’t have a black border. I then layered it on white and black card. I have used the 12 x 12 Textura Card.
This week on Woodware Witterings we are looking at Cats and Dogs, I thought that it was a good reason to do a scrap book page with my dog.
This is Peggy, and the words sum her up perfectly
yes I know she looks angelic but she certainly has her moments! I love the Dylusions stamps from Dyan Reaveley this one is from the Don’t Hold Back set, they are great for scrap-book pages and of course art journals which are Dyan’s speciality.
The other stamp set that I have used is Huge Dog the Clear Magic set from the Francoise Collection. I have stamped the dog on white card with black powder and twice in white powder on black card. Then I Zentangled the letters with the Sakura White Gelly Roll and a Black Sakura Micron pen on the white card.
I even used my craft knife to cut out the centres of the d and g
