Woodware – Boys Will Be Boys

This week on the Woodware Blog we are looking at cards for men,

5

This is one of Francoise’s Clear Magic stamps it is called Boys Toys

1

First I stamped and embossed with Bark Powder I have used the Bark Crafters ink pad becouae the powder is not opaque. I have used a large stencil brush and added colour from a  6 colour pigment ink pad.

3

The Woodware Just Words stamps have a brilliant selection of must have words these one are from a set that is perfect for the senior members of the family both male and female Great Grand, works well with other greeting stamps to truly personalize your cards.

6

I have scuffed the edges and added a touch of Rust Spoonful Frantage Kit then the tool brads

2

I have given the main card the Rust treatment too.

4

So well this week I have done a Kim and have a second card!

10

I am not sure which one I like best.

9

I have used Mixed Media card for both card and layers. The strip on the card has been made by running the Clear Scraps Gears Border through my Big Shot.

7

this time I have embossed the stamp in gold

8

coloured and layered on kraft card I like the Rope on a Bobbin it gives a nice masculine touch.

11

The words come from a set of Francoise’s called You Are the set has three unusual phrases. My favourite is “being unique is better than being perfect”

Woodware Wearable Art

This week on the Woodware blog we are looking at Wearable art, lucky for me we have just re-introduced a product that I really like Style Stones

1

they are perfect for lots of mixed media projects, and are great for wearing.

3

They are made from cultured stone, they are either natural, white or coated which makes them cream. They can be coloured with inks, paint, alcohol inks, or heat embossed… the possibilities are endless. Her I have used gold Color Solutions Alcohol inks.

5

I have stamped on the plain side the stamp is Francoise’s Clear Magic Old Letter using Crafter’s ink.

7

I have used Aged Copper Frantage Embossing Powder on the words and around the edges.

6

the necklace can be worn on either side.

10

this one has been inked with Crafter’s Barn and then Frantaged.

9

with a plain back.

2

The Frantage, is just a mix that I have.

8

this one has an interesting back.

Funky Shaped Cards

This week on the Woodware blog we are looking at Funky Shaped cards, Jane got us off to a great start yesterday, I am not sure if mine lives up to it!

11

This is a shape of card that I have been wanting to do for a long time, and hopefully it fits the bill.

First take a sheet of light weight  12 x 12 card,

8

score it in the middle and in both directions and then make a cut along one of the score lines to the centre.

7

Cut off the three marked corners. 6cm, 9cm, and 12cm

6

It folds up like this, the gaps can be any size that you want. Tape up the open folded up sides. Because I wanted to make three tags I have made three pockets and the card does not open, but two pockets and an opening card would work fine.

5

Then I hand cut my 3 tags, here I have used the Just Words stamp May all your Dreams. I have used the Contemporary Tartan Pad, on all of the tags and the front.

I have stamped with the Wave Crafters Ink and used it for the edging too.

4

This is an old stamp of Francoise’s Sometimes Clear Magic. The ribbon is the Distressed Cotton.

2

I love this new house from Francoise Home Collage

1

I have paper pieced the house with the Tartan pad.

9

I have deliberately  made the tags different sizes.

13

The Just a Little Note on the front is also a new Just Words Tiddler.

Woodware Sketch 47

This week on the Woodware blog we are following a sketch

47-Oct_2015

Why not have a go and play along with us?

1

I have used Francoise’s Clear Magic Patch Love Bauble and the Clear Scraps 12 x 12 Acrylic Sheets from Clear Scraps, not easy to photograph, sorry!

3

I stamped and embossed in gold on Mixed Media card and

4

Then water coloured with a red brush pen and a blender pen.

2

I have stamped the greeting from Jane’s Fluffy Robin set, on to the acrylic sheet with black Surfacez I used the ink to edge the acrylic too. I used Peel Off Pens to colour the holly leaves.

5

I stamped the bauble on the inside of the card and coloured it in.

6

I have added some of the burlap ribbon to the top of the card.

7

I cut out the bauble and attached it to the front of the card.

8

and finished it off with a gingham ribbon.

Don’t forget to pop over to the Woodware Blog to see what the rest of the girls have been up to.

Woodware – Paper Pieced Christmas

Still no Woodware Blog but today is my turn to post so here we go…

3

I have used the same stamp as Crafty Debs used earlier in the week so I have tried to make it very different. The stamp was designed by Francoise it is called Doodled Peace.

2

First I stamped the word on white card, then I stamped on three colours of card from the Glamour Pad. I then cut up the pieces and placed them on the pre-stamped words so that I didn’t loose any of the pieces….

5

I stamped the word again and cut the letters apart, then filled them back in with the pre cut coloured cards.

1

I finished off the letters with the Sakura Clear Star to add some sparkle!

Thanks for visiting, see you soon!

Woodware Friendship Take 2

Holiday and illness are taking their toll this week on the Woodware design team so another card from me.

DD1

and I have used another of the new Christmas stamps!

DD10

Francoise has three Christmas baubles in this release that are all really great, but this one I felt could be used for all sorts of occasions (it does have a top on it) This one is called Love Bauble

DD9

I have punched it with the bracket punch

DD4

Then coloured it with the ColorBox Stylus and a Doodle Bug Pigment Ink.

DD2

then edged it with the Wicked Black Archival ink that I had stamped with.

DD8

I stamped a second bauble and coloured it in the same way.

DD11

then cut out some hearts to cover the words that I didn’t want to show.

DD7

For the background I used the Dutch Doobadoo Faded Dots.

DD6

I have used the same inks to decorate the background.

DD5

and on the inside.

DD3

The greeting is from Francoise’s Little Messages Clear Magic set. This is a great little set of words.

There we are a simple but colourful card. Thanks for visiting, don’t forget to visit the Woodware blog to see what the rest of the girls have been up to!

Woodware Sketch 43

This week on the Woodware blog we have a sketch to follow.

43-June_2015

I have turned the sketch on it’s side

1

I have used the very cute House-Mouse stamp Trimming the Tree for the main image.

6

First I stamped it on a folded piece of A4 card, the drew around it with a diner plate.

4

and cut out the oval

5

Then I stamped the image in roughly the same place on a piece of the new Woodware Mixed Media card, the card is great for water colouring

7

I coloured it with Tombow pens and a water brush.

2

I used the Crafty Edger and the Star Party cassette.

3

On the outside I used the Merry Christmas from Francoise’s Funky Christmas Clear Magic set. The holly leaves are from the Cling Rubber Jumbo set Holly Stocking. I have inked it with the same green Tombow pen that I coloured the tree.

Woodware Challenge – Chosen by Kim – Window Cards

This week the Woodware challenge has been chosen by Kim.

Kim has chosen for us the theme of Window Cards the idea for it came from Technique Time Tuesday you will find a great tutorial if you follow the link.

this was fun to do, and I sort of got carried away, but they were very quick cards to make.

15

I have used Francoise’s Clear Magic Tiddler Sometimes for the greeting.

9

First I used Dylusions paint in London Blue I applied it with the Baby Wipe method here is a video with Dyan demonstrating it

10

I used the Dutch Doobadoo Art Bubbles and more of the blue paint.

12

Then I added some Post Box Red paint.

13

I cut the front of the card with the Dreamweaver Nesting Ovals Die and stamped it.

14

I cut another oval and stampeded it too then added some of the blue paint with the same stencil

15

I closed the card and attached the oval through the hole so that the placement was correct.

16

the oval that I cut from the card was perfect on a plain card.

The border stamps on both cards come from the Dylusions stamp set Bordering on the Edge.

6

I liked the method so much that I made another card.

1

this stencil is the Dutch Doobadoo Mask art Metal 2

2

I was a bit messy with the paint.

3

but it was great when I rubbed more over with a Woodware Wipe.

5

I die cut the Dreamweaver Nesting Frames and stamped it with some words from the Didn’t Hold Back cling rubber Dylusions set.

8

I love this stamp from the Escape set I have added Glossy Accents to the glasses.

I hope that you like my window cards, and that you have time to take a look at what the rest of the girls have been up too.

Woodware – On the Farm

On the Woodware blog this week we are on the farm

DD

So I am tramping about the Summer Weeds in some rather fetching Wellies.

DD1

First I stamped out Francoise’s Clear Magic Wellies on some cream card.

DD2

Then I used a mixture of 02 and 08 Micron pens to Zentangle©

DD3

I love to dangle my tangles and the boots are perfect for that.

DD4

I then stamped Jane’s Clear Magic Summer Weeds with a Spectrum Kaleidacolor ink pad. I inked the stamp and then stamped it several times until the ink run out to add depth to the stamping.

DD5

I used double sided tape to attach the wellies to the weed background and then stamped more of the weeds on top.

Woodware – Easter Celebrations

Over on the Woodware blog this week we are looking at Easter

9

I thought that I would go for a slightly different take on Easter, the frogs will be leaping into life in time for it, so why not a springing frog?

1

I have stamped Francoise’s Hoppy Frog Clear Magic stamp with ColorBox Wicked Black archival ink, and then edged it with ColorBox Jungle Crafters ink.

2

I have punched out the Keyhole Plates super duper punch. Then stamped the Hopping by and the Hoppy from the frog stamp, I then used a black Micron pen to write easter.

3

Then I punched loads of flowers with the Sunflower Punch in shades of pink.

4

I glued them together with Glossy Accents and then added the Rhinestone Borders to make the centres.

6

I stamped a second frog and coloured his spots with a Tombow pen and then added Glossy Accents to make them shine.

7

I have attached him with an Action Wobble. If you have not used them before they are a great way to add movement as they do what they say!

The border is one of the new Crafty Edger Deluxe set and this cassette is called Garden Fence.

thanks for visitng see you soon!
