Hello, I am back!

I have had a very quite crafting time for the past few months. I in the autumn I went to a quilting class locally and had fun, so I made a quilt on my own using the same method as I had learnt.

All made from fabric that I had in my stash!

I do like the strip method, but I suppose I should try something else.

But then I have been cheating…

I have made four seat pads that have been stamped and then stitched with a zigzag to make them look quilted. There are great for extra seating or taking outside to add to garden chairs and can just be thrown in the washing machine.

Happy Easter

Woodware – From Our House to Yours at Christmas – take 2

Here I am again with another card for traveling across the miles.

For this card I have used the Stampendous Folk Tree metal stencil and the double glitter technique. I seem to be rather fond of this technique at the moment you will find step by step photographs in this post Things that go Bump here is the Dreamweaver video again too

The double sided sticky sheet has been attached to some red card and then glittered with the Christmas Micro Glitter kit.

The word stamp is one of Jane Gill’s a Clear Magic set that has lots of long greetings Christmas Sentiments. I have stamped and embossed with Ruby Red powder. Stampendosu have a great range of coloured embossing powders why not give some colours a try? I have stamped on Mixed Media card and then edged the card with Fire Red Crafter’s I have layered it on Spring Green Recycled card, edged with Jungle Crafters. The corners were punched with the regular corner rounder.

I tied some red 15mm organza around the card.

I added a tiny border with paper from one of the 6 x 6 Perfect Print pads.

The layers have all been taped flat.

I like the way that the greeting goes over the ribbon, pretty and practical, it’s holding the ribbon in place!

Tahnks for visiting don’t forget to check the Woodware Witterings blog to see what the rest of the team have been up to

Woodware – Black and White take 2

I am back again with a second black and white card. I think that this stamp of Jane’s is perfect for black and white, or red and white or any other colour you fancy!

Meet Little Christmas Bird a Clear Magic stamp designed by Jane Gill.

I have stamped and embossed with the Stampendous Winter Wonderland powder, it is a lovely white powder with silver glitter in it. I have stamped on the black Textura card which you can see on this solid stamp, then punched him out.

For the background I have used the new Holly Scrolls metal stencil designed by Fran of Stampendous, I have pressure embossed with my Sizzix machine on black and white Textura card.

I have added Winer Wonderland embossing powder to the black, and punched the corners with the inverted corner punch. The ribbon is the black gingham

for the greeting which come with the Little Bird set I have embossed the white circle.

I like the way that I have layered it with the ribbon, the same as the background.

The gingham bow adds a finishing touch.

Woodware – Sketch 53

This week on Woodware Witterings we have a sketch

and here I have a very simple card, that would make a great quick Christmas card if you like to bulk make them.

The stencil is one of the new ones designed by Fran from Stampendous. It is called Holly Scroll. It has been pressure embossed through a Sizzix machine.

When embossing metal stencils through a machine but the stencil on the thick platform so that you have no chance of distorting it, then card, the Rubber Mat and 2 plates (I keep 2 new plates just for my stencils so that I am sure that they will not damage them)

I have embossed core card in red and green and then used the sanding block to scuff it up, I scuffed up the edges with the Woodware Scruffer

The Merry and Bright comes from a Clear Magic stamp designed by Jane Gill Snowflake Flower. I have punched out a circle and a scalloped circle and inked the edges and layered them together.

I have attached the circle and then trimmed the edge.

The red panel I trimmed with a Deckle Blade.

Thanks for visiting see you soon!
